Strategy

This is the strongest two-color shell in the pool and it plays exactly like the draw-go control deck the owner loves. Black supplies a genuinely deep removal suite (Eyeblight’s Ending, Violet Pall x3, Nameless Inversion, Moonglove Winnower, Final Revels) while blue covers everything black can’t with hard counters (Cancel x4, Override, Induce Paranoia, Hisoka’s Defiance x2) and repeatable card advantage off Take Inventory x4, Murmurs from Beyond, and Thirst. Dreamspoiler Witches x4 and Squeaking Pie Grubfellows tax the opponent’s spells for tempo, Warren Pilferers and Witch’s Cottage recur your best bodies, and a fleet of evasive Faeries (Final-Sting Faerie, Hunter of Eyeblights, Gossamer Phantasm, Mournwhelk) chips the opponent out while you hold up interaction. It almost never runs out of gas and wins the long, grindy game on raw attrition. Pure value control built from the bulk binder.

How to pilot it

Lead with Take Inventory early so later copies draw 2-3; don’t be shy casting the first one on turn 2 to start the count. Hold up Cancel/Hisoka’s Defiance and let removal handle resolved threats — sequence Dreamspoiler Witches at end of turn to ambush an attacker or shrink a key creature. Warren Pilferers + Witch’s Cottage rebuy your best Faerie in long games; that recursion loop is your true win condition.
