Strategy
Tier-1 Simic Ouroboroid ramp rebuilt around the meta’s actual engine instead of the old tempo cantrip shell. The plan: mana-dork into Badgermole Cub (the premier engine - earthbend 1 plus an extra {G} every time you tap a creature for mana), flood the board with earthbend ramp from Toph, Badgermole, The Boulder and Earthbending Lesson, then bury the table under counters. Ouroboroid is the snowball finisher: at the start of each combat it puts X +1/+1 counters on every creature you control where X is its own (ever-growing) power, so one untouched turn ends the game. Germination Practicum (owned mythic, Paradigm) re-fires a board-wide +2/+2 EVERY turn for free once cast, and The Legend of Kyoshi draws a fat handful then makes all your lands trample/hexproof threats. Badgermole hands trample to every counter creature, turning the pile into an Overrun-style alpha strike, and Flopsie pumps + makes the big bodies near-unblockable. Tatyova, Benthic Druid turns every earthbend land drop into a card. Blue is the protection package - Essence Scatter, Negate, Spell Pierce hold up while you out-mana the room, Earth Rumble fights down problem blockers, and Opt smooths draws. Llanowar Elves / Druid of the Cowl plus the Cub make turn-3 Ouroboroid or turn-4 Practicum realistic.
Upgrade path
MYTHIC CRAFTS THIS DECK: Ouroboroid x3 (the only crafted mythic) = 3 mythic wildcards spent. Running mythic-craft count for this deck: 3. Owned mythics used for FREE (no craft): Badgermole Cub x3 (own3), Germination Practicum x1 (own1), The Legend of Kyoshi x1 (own1). ZERO new rares crafted - confirmed. Every nonbasic land is owned: Dreamroot Cascade (own1, rare-owned), Temple of Mystery (own1, rare-owned), Balamb Garden (own2, rare-owned), Ba Sing Se (own3, rare-owned earthbend land), Thornwood Falls (own6), Meditation Pools (own4), Simic Guildgate (own4) - no land crafts. FUTURE RARE UPGRADES once Mik has more rare wildcards: (1) Innkeeper’s Talent (rare, NOT owned, FORBIDDEN this pass) - its Level 3 doubles every counter you’d place, which is absurd alongside Ouroboroid/Germination Practicum and is the single biggest power jump available; craft it first. (2) Nature’s Rhythm (rare, NOT owned) - tutors any creature onto the battlefield and harmonizes from the yard; the meta’s toolbox glue. (3) A second/third Dreamroot Cascade and Temple of Mystery to firm the manabase. All three held back strictly due to the rare-wildcard lock.
