Strategy
Mono-blue control with Eluge as a one-card engine and finisher. Flood counters turn lands into Islands, which both grows Eluge’s body and makes your first instant/sorcery each turn massively cheaper, so a late counter or draw spell costs near-nothing. Plan: survive early with one-mana interaction and cheap bounce, deploy card-advantage engines (Archmage of Runes, Kiora, Enduring Curiosity, Matoya, Stormchaser’s Talent), counter the opponent’s key threats, then close with Eluge, evasive Sphinxes, or cost-reduced Serpents. Turtles in Time and Aetherize reset the board against go-wide aggro; 18 basic Islands keep Eluge huge and the flood plan online.
Upgrade path
MYTHIC CRAFTS: Eluge, the Shoreless Sea x1 (the commander). Running mythic-craft count for THIS deck = 1. That single craft is shared with the brawl-eluge deck (same physical wildcard). All other mythics in the 99 are OWNED (own>=1, free): Glen Elendra’s Answer, The Legend of Kuruk, Sphinx of Forgotten Lore, Quantum Riddler, Turtles in Time, Sire of Seven Deaths, Wan Shi Tong (Librarian), Mathemagics, Uthros (Titanic Godcore). ZERO new rares: every rare is owned — Tishana’s Tidebinder (own2), Kiora the Rising Tide (own2), Archmage of Runes (own1), Stormchaser’s Talent (own4), Agna Qel’a (own1), Great Hall of the Biblioplex (own1), Hidden Cataract (own1). No shocklands or any unowned rare/rare-land added. FUTURE UPGRADES once Mik has more rare wildcards: mono-U has no true rare board wipe to add, but premium rare card-advantage finishers (e.g. a rare Sphinx/draw engine) or smoother rare utility lands would be marginal upgrades — none required for tier-1 play.
