Strategy
Esper artifact stax-control-combo. Deploy fast mana + rocks (Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Grim Monolith, Moxen, Petal, Dark Ritual) to jump ahead, then hold up counters (Force of Will, Mana Drain, Fierce Guardianship, Flusterstorm) while a stax shell (Grand Abolisher, Drannith Magistrate, Aven Mindcensor, Cursed Totem, Grafdigger’s Cage, Deafening Silence, Notion Thief, Orcish Bowmasters) taxes/slows the table. Card-advantage engines (Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, Esper Sentinel, Smothering Tithe, Bolas’s Citadel) refuel. The primary win is Thassa’s Oracle + Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact (exile your library, Oracle resolves = win) protected by a counter. Backup line: cast Tivit, then loop Time Sieve for infinite turns (with Academy Manufactor tripling Tivit’s vote tokens into a wall of Clues/Treasures each attack, paying Time Sieve’s cost and saccing 5+ every turn). Third line: Teferi, Time Raveler + Displacer Kitten + a mana-positive artifact (Sol Ring/Mana Vault) = infinite mana, blinks and draws — dump into Aetherflux Reservoir (50 damage) or draw to Thassa’s Oracle. Tutors (Demonic/Vampiric/Mystical/Enlightened/Grim Tutor, Wishclaw, Fabricate, Whir of Invention, Muddle the Mixture) assemble any piece.
Key lines:
- Thassa’s Oracle + Demonic Consultation (or Tainted Pact): cast Oracle, in response exile your entire library naming a card not in deck; Oracle’s ETB sees library size 0 and you win the game.
- Tivit, Seller of Secrets + Time Sieve + Academy Manufactor: Tivit’s attack/ETB vote makes Treasure/Clue tokens; Manufactor turns each into Clue+Food+Treasure, so one trigger yields 15+ artifacts. Take an extra turn with Time Sieve (sac 5 artifacts, pay {2} from Treasures), attack again with Tivit for more tokens, repeat = infinite turns, then win via combat or an Oracle line.
- Teferi, Time Raveler + Displacer Kitten + Sol Ring (or Mana Vault): each noncreature cast blinks a mana-positive artifact via Kitten while Teferi -3 draws/bounces; loop = infinite mana + draw your deck, then Aetherflux Reservoir pays 50 life to deal 50, or draw into Thassa’s Oracle.
- Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal + 3+ mana from nonland permanents: {2} tap Scepter, copy Dramatic Reversal, untap all nonland permanents = infinite mana, funneled into Displacer Kitten draws or an Oracle/Aetherflux finish.
Harden pass: Net upgrade with no structural change to the winning gameplan. The biggest gain is removing the deck’s own worst enemy: Deafening Silence was actively bricking the primary (Isochron+Dramatic Reversal → Aetherflux) and secondary (Bolas’s Citadel) win lines, so cutting it unlocks the deck’s storm/infinite-mana kills to fire uncontested. The Grafdigger’s Cage → Nihil Spellbomb swap similarly de-conflicts the Citadel engine while preserving on-meta grave hate. On the interaction axis the deck gains two real answers it lacked: Opposition Agent (proactive tutor/fetch hate + refuel, in-identity flash body) and Anguished Unmaking (flexible instant-speed exile for problem permanents it could previously only bounce). Sensei’s Top adds consistency and dovetails with Citadel/Aetherflux/Time Sieve/artifact-token synergies. The snow-basic swaps make Tainted Pact bulletproof against same-name collisions at zero cost. Combo redundancy, counter density (still 15 pieces), and the manabase are all preserved; the deck is now more internally coherent and better positioned for the current meta.
