Strategy
Najeela is a 5-color Warriors combo deck that wins through infinite combat steps. Plan: deploy fast mana (Sol Ring, Mox suite, dorks) to land Najeela early, protect the combo with free interaction (Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, Pact of Negation, Deflecting Swat), and assemble one of several combat-loop engines. Najeela’s {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} ability untaps all attacking creatures and grants an extra combat while spawning a growing army of 1/1 Warrior tokens on every attack. Paired with a per-combat mana source that scales with attacker count (Derevi untapping lands, Druids’ Repository charge counters, or Cryptolith Rite/Song of Freyalise turning the token army into WUBRG), the loop becomes mana-positive once you have five bodies, giving infinite combats + infinite tokens = one-shot table kill. If combat is answered, the deck pivots to a compact Thassa’s Oracle + Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact wincon assembled through a dense tutor package (Demonic/Vampiric/Imperial Seal/Mystical/Enlightened, Wishclaw, Diabolic Intent) and refuelled by Ad Nauseam/Necropotence. Underworld Breach + Lion’s Eye Diamond + Jeska’s Will provides an explosive mana/recursion burst to storm into a tutored win. Wins the turn it goes off, typically turns 3-4.
Key lines:
- Najeela + Derevi, Empyrial Tactician: attack; each Warrior that deals combat damage untaps a land (Derevi). With 5+ attackers producing WUBRG, you refund Najeela’s activation cost every loop → infinite combats, infinite tokens, lethal.
- Najeela + Cryptolith Rite (or Song of Freyalise): at each new combat’s begin-combat step, Najeela has already untapped your creatures; tap the Warrior army for WUBRG via Cryptolith Rite, pay for the next activation. With 5+ Warriors the loop is mana-positive → infinite combats/tokens.
- Najeela + Druids’ Repository: every attacker adds a charge counter; remove 5 counters for WUBRG. Once 5+ creatures attack each combat, net counters grow → infinite combats and an exponentially growing token army for lethal damage.
- Thassa’s Oracle + Demonic Consultation (or Tainted Pact): exile your library, then Oracle’s ETB wins with zero cards in library. Compact backup assembled via the tutor suite.
- Underworld Breach + Lion’s Eye Diamond + Jeska’s Will: Breach lets you escape spells from the graveyard; crack LED and replay Jeska’s Will/rituals for a large mana burst, then tutor into and cast Thassa’s Oracle + Demonic Consultation to win.
