Strategy
FINALIZED owned-first UR “artifacts-enter-matters” Brawl deck. Resolved the deck-fatal legality contradiction all three drafts hit by PROMOTING “Iron Man, Master of Machines” ({2}{U}{R}, CI=U/R, can_be_commander=1, owned) to the COMMAND ZONE and demoting the previous mono-U commander “Donatello, Way with Machines” ({2}{U}) INTO the 99 as a card. This makes deck CI={U,R}, legalizing the entire red ping/burn/anthem engine, while keeping Donatello’s identical “artifact ETB → +1/+1 counter” snowball engine online as a turn-3 threat. Net card-count change: zero (Iron Man MoM leaves the 99 to command, Donatello enters it). Iron Man MoM in the command zone is itself a repeatable evasive wincon (Flying/vigilance, +1/+0 per other artifact, attack-draw) that always-available reinforces the artifact-count payoffs. Core plan unchanged and sharpened: a single artifact ETB does triple duty — (a) a +1/+1 counter on Donatello/growth on Machinesmith Automaton, (b) a ping via the artifact-triggered package, (c) raises artifact count for the Iron Man / Escaped Experiment / Armor Wars payoffs. Engine spine: 6 rocks (Springleaf Drum, Mind Stone, Prophetic Prism, Coldsteel Heart, Ornithopter of Paradise, Solemn Simulacrum) that are ramp/fixing AND artifact-ETB triggers; a Treasure/Blood subtheme (Ragavan, Stark Industries Executive, Voldaren Epicure, Goldvein Pick, Plundering Pirate, Big Score, Seize the Spoils) that floods artifacts and fixes so 36 lands suffices; 10 token engines. Payoffs convert board to damage (Iron Man Modern Marvel anthem, Iron Man Armor, Escaped Experiment, Armor Wars, Psychosis Crawler). CORRECTED the ETB-drain accounting: only the ARTIFACT-triggered pingers (Reckless Fireweaver, Weftstalker Ardent, HYDRA Assault Robot, plus new Machinesmith Automaton which grows off the same trigger) fire on Treasures/rocks; the creature-only pinger (Shocking Sharpshooter) needs actual token/creature ETBs. Interaction upgraded from an all-burn suite to a flexible one: added Iroh’s Demonstration (one-sided sweep: 1 dmg to each creature opponents control, OR 4 to one) to answer the go-wide mirror without nuking our own board, and Blink of an Eye (bounce any nonland permanent, kicker-draw) as the deck’s only catch-all for enchantments/planeswalkers/oversized threats burn can’t kill. Manabase cleaned per the minimize-taplands rule: cut the two vanilla UR taplands (Izzet Guildgate, Baron Airship Kingdom) and the colorless tapland (Rising Chicane), replacing with 3 basics to drop always-tapped lands from 5 to 3 and raise untapped blue count for the {U}{U} pips (Counterspell, Iron Man Modern Marvel). Command Tower now fixes both colors under the UR commander. 36 lands held (per Karsten midrange band, reduced-effect by 6 rocks + Treasure); blue-leaning 15 Island / 11 Mountain.
